Well... I am pleased to say that my design for the SMG logo won the competition, I have been told that it doesn't need much doing to it which is a good news. In about 2 days it will be ready - I'll post up as soon as I'll see it.

A quick design I've done for the SMG (Student Management Group) that is based at Yale College, Wrexham. If my design wins the competition, it will be worked on by one of the staff, and become an official SMG logo.

Since I'm in a little rush trying to bring some life to this blog, and posting up all of the work I have done, I forgot to show you my Fruit and veg stuff I did in the style of the following:

- Julian Opie
- Michael Craig-Martin
- Andy Warhol

The apple right below was just a practice at using vector, but I still thought it is worth showing... the rest are my final designs:

You can clearly see the journey there, the bottom one is my first one so it is not very good, and finally the fruit juice bottles(at the top) are in my opinion the best.
I spent a lot of time on this one, but I don't think it was worth it, I might finish it but I dont think I will put it in my portfolio at all.

Then I thought to my self 'Why not create a series of characters in the style of Bannecker?'
The idea is to have a series of images involving the same character in different situations etc.
My first piece:
Personally, I really like this one, I think it is a great starting point for the rest of my work.
This is a WIP (Work In Progress) of my second piece,  I think it looks promising already so hopefully it will be looking good when finished!

Please leave a comment, say what you like and what you disslike...
Time to start a new project... still related to produce, but this time it has to involve fish/sealife and has to be in the style of Andrew Bannecker :) To be able to do anything in the style of Bannecker, I had to look closely at his work :)

These are just a few examples of his work, I really like the stuff he does...

Edited backgrounds

Time to bring this blog back to life...

Previously I posted up my backgrounds that I have created using a scanner, now I took a step forward and edited some of them in photoshop. Mainly I've been messing around with contrast, exposure, and channel mixers... I havent done much to them, because I kinda like them as they are.

Youre welcome to have a look, and maybe leave a comment ;)
